The Official PS3 Expert replied: "It means that you need to insert a USB drive in to your PS3 and then the installer for Google Toolbar will be saved on it. You can then take the USB to your computer to install Google Toolbar there. You can NOT install Google Toolbar on the PS3. The PS3 has a web browser, but its not that much of a browser. Its not a computer where you can you install toolbars too! ;)"

kozzm0 replied: "It means that the toolbar is not an XMB-recognized file (music, photo or video) and so it won't save it on the hard drive, and tells you to put it on an external hard drive instead. If you download it, it still won't work, because you can't make custom configurations to the XMB. It is what it is and that's that. If you want google toolbar on the XMB, ask sony to add it in a firmware update. You could use the google toolbar under linux though. As long as it's supported and doesn't require hardware-accelerated graphics. There's lots of useful things you can do with a ps3 under linux. I use ubuntu which you can get at one thing I can do is download and save any video from youtube. and answer questions here which you can't do with the XMB web browser. I expect google toolbar would have a good chance of working too."

While you're on your browser, click tools, then click options, you should be on the tab called 'Main', a sub heading called 'Startup' and there should be a box with 'Homepage' by it. It should have the Mozilla homepage URL in there. You can either delete that and copy the google URL in there or go onto the google homepage and click 'Use Current Page' and that should resolve your problem. I hope this helps [="

How do I put the Google new tab page back as my homepage when I open a tab? I had the Google toolbar homepage set up already, but then I downloaded another toolbar, and it changed the toolbar homepage to something else. I was able to take out that web page, but I wanted to have the Google homepage back. The problem is that it doesn't open anymore. How do I fix that?

lillllbit replied: "Go to the page you want to be your home page. Now open up "tools" in your menu bar, go to "internet options". That should open up a window with the address of the page you are on and there should be a little window for "home page", click the "use current" button.... If the old homepage just won't open you probably lost all your changes to it and will have to reset it up...."

My homepage when i got on the internet was google and it switched to daemon search, how do i get google back? When i signed onto the internet automatically the google search homepage thing came up. I downloaded a program called Daemon tools and it now I have a daemon search home and I want the google one back. How do I get it back?

Google homepage appears in black, do i have a virus?!? for some reason Google's homepage is appearing in black! it has always been white.
